Trentham showing excellent growth.
As we start the New Year there are in excess of 30 new homes under construction in the area. Land around the town is in scarce supply. With around 150 blocks sold over the past few years the few that come onto the market are being snapped up before we can get our boards up.
The main street is travelling well. Seven new businesses have started up in the retail area.
The Cosmopolitan Hotel is now operating out of its stunning gardens and the beautifully restored stables, with the main building undergoing a rebuild this year. The very up-market Colliban Food Store is due to open late March. Providing a range of fresh produce, excellent wines and superb menu it will be open for breakfast and lunch initially. Suggest you book now.
The township is supported by a very active community, who with the support of the Hepburn Shire Council are seeing many innovative strategies being put in place to really make this town a Place for All Reasons. New walking tracks, rail trails, public spaces and Community Gardens are happening. With the now upgraded Primary School and Nursing Hospital fully operating and only one hour’s easy drive to Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo you couldn’t choose a better place to live.
Trentham Area Comes of Age
Trentham, the old potato
farming community is hitting its straps. Offering a viable alternative
to the Daylesford/ Hepburn and Woodend areas and being an easy
hour’s drive
from Melbourne, it is seeing some fantastic properties being
listed. The early Irish settlers knew that it was one of the
best locations in Victoria and several generations later they
are still there.
Now the locals can enjoy
the offerings of superb restaurants, local produce and modern technology
such as Broadband access. Becoming a haven for artists, retirees
and telecommuters, the old township boasts all the attractions that
reflect its start as a gold mining town and later a timber town.
Trentham Falls is the
highest single drop waterfall in Victoria. Blackwood has mineral
springs the equivalent of Hepburn and the whole area is surrounded
by the Wombat Forest, renown for protected species. Most homes
in the township are about ten minutes from the forest and there
is a wide range of accommodation available. For a booking have
a look at www.stay.trentham.biz . For any property enquiries call
us on 54241866.
Opportunities abound in the area. With public transport
available, connecting to the fast train at Woodend, a wide variety
of schools and plenty of job choices in the surrounding areas you
have plentiful lifestyle options. Trentham is also around an hour
from each of Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo. You couldn’t
get a more Central Location.
All this is ten minutes from
Daylesford, Blackwood and Woodend. Its time to consider the real
affordable alternative to a Sea Change.
